Children at Heart Adoption Services, Inc. is an authorized adoption agency in the state of New York, and licensed in the state of North Carolina. As such, we can provide pre- and post-adoption services to any family residing in either of those states. Whether you need a homestudy for an international or domestic adoption, a homestudy update for an adoption already in progress, post-placement or post-adoption reports, we can help you!
As part of the homestudy procedure, all of our families must complete 10 hours of pre-adoption training, in the form of a DVD seminar produced by Heart of the Matter Seminars, entitled "Because They Waited". This education is extremely informative, and has received wonderful reviews by our families!
We complete our homestudies in a timely manner - once the visits are completed by one of our social workers, we will have a draft to you in approximately two weeks or less. We will allow you, and your adoption service provider, to review the home study before it is finalized, to be sure it is written exactly the way it should be to suit your particular adoption situation.
